Transmission 002 // Shipping Under Academic Load
How I build side projects while keeping cadet standards.
The honest answer: I don't. Not consistently. But here's what works when it does.
Time-boxing. An hour a night, non-negotiable, after academics. No deep-work
sessions during the week — those are for the weekend. Weeknights are for
unblocking, not architecting.
Scope compression. Every project gets cut in half twice before I start.
Soundara wasn't going to have payments. Then it needed payments. The rule:
build the wedge first, expand if signal justifies it.
Public commits. If a repo is public and a README says "coming soon," I owe
someone something. That pressure is free and it works.
